This past June, we had the privilege of bringing Vacation Bible School to over 120 students! This year's theme was Olympion, based on 2 Timothy 4:7-8 and featuring stories from Joshua!
Children are invited to remain with their families during Sunday worship. To help them engage in the service, we offer a variety of age-appropriate activities and tools. These include Children's ESV pew Bibles, children's worksheets focusing on the sermon, paper, pencils, and crayons for drawing what they hear in the sermon. We have found these activities encourage them to listen and be engaged in the message.
Parents may also choose to take advantage of our nursery. The nursery is available during service for children up to four years old. In addition to a time of play, we worship as well with an age-appropriate Bible story time.
Sunday School exists to instruct our children in ways that would encourage them to know and love the Word of God, understand how it applies to their lives, and provide them with a solid Christian worldview.
This is done in the context of strong relationships between students and teachers and among the students themselves, that they would all have the common goal of glorifying God in worship, mission, and discipleship. As they each are growing in their own relationship with the Lord, each of our volunteers is committed to aiding our children to live out lives that are wholly devoted to Christ.
Our Sunday School ministry serves ages three through 12th grade during the Sunday School hour (11:00 AM - 12:00 PM) assisting parents to train up the next generation to put their hope and trust in our glorious God. Many of our high school students attend adult Sunday School classes.
Why have a Communicants Class?
While baptized children of believers are considered part of the visible church, they are non-communing members (do not participate in the Lord's Supper) until they personally own and profess faith in Jesus. To assist parents in leading their children through this ownership of faith, we want to provide training for the children of communing member so that they clearly understand the Gospel, their relationship to God, and what God is doing in this world through His Church.
For this reason, we strongly encourage a parent to attend the class with their child. This fourteen week class will meet during the Sunday School hour from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM starting in January.
DELTA Club is a ministry of Pioneer Clubs, and is the Children's Ministry's midweek activity during the school year for kindergarten-fifth grade.
DELTA stands for:
This year's theme is "Living Like Jesus." It begins by focusing on growing spiritually and then takes a look each week at one of the fruits of the spirit.
Our time includes large group time, game time, craft time, and small groups.
This night is a fun opportunity that we hope your children can join us! DELTA Club meets 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM at Peace. Have them bring a friend!
