Children are invited to remain with their families during Sunday worship. To help them engage in the service, we offer a variety of age-appropriate activities and tools. These include Children's ESV pew Bibles, children's worksheets focusing on the sermon, paper, pencils, and crayons for drawing what they hear in the sermon. We have found these activities encourage them to listen and be engaged in the message.
Parents may also choose to take advantage of our nursery. The nursery is available during service for children up to four years old. In addition to a time of play, we offer a curriculum designed for toddlers and preschoolers that includes memorization, age-appropriate Bible story time, an easy craft, and ample time for play.
Sunday School exists to instruct our children in ways that would encourage them to know and love the Word of God, understand how it applies to their lives, and provide them with a solid Christian worldview.
This is done in the context of strong relationships between students and teachers and among the students themselves, that they would all have the common goal of glorifying God in worship, mission, and discipleship. As they each are growing in their own relationship with the Lord, each of our volunteers is committed to aiding our children to live out lives that are wholly devoted to Christ.
Our Sunday School ministry serves ages three through 12th grade during the Sunday School hour (11:00 AM - 12:00 PM) assisting parents to train up the next generation to put their hope and trust in our glorious God. Many of our high school students attend adult Sunday School classes.
DELTA Club is a ministry of Pioneer Clubs, and is the Children's Ministry's midweek activity during the school year.
Have you ever wished that you could take your children through a Christianity 101 designed just for them? DELTA Clubs focuses on presenting a program that helps build a strong foundation for all your children! They will be learning the answers to questions such as:
- Who is God?
- Who is Jesus?
- What is the Bible?
- What is the Church?
- Who is my neighbor?
- How do I live my faith?
Children will be able to earn skill, memorization, and game awards throughout the year that help to strengthen and expand their understanding and life skills. Some of these include:
- Caring for God's Word
- Stitching and Sewing
- Sign Language
- Wacky Sports
- Make and Play Games
This night is a fun opportunity that we hope your children can join us! DELTA Club meets 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM at Peace. Have them bring a friend!
We also host an optional dinner for children and their families at 6:00 PM. AND....the Jr and Sr High Youth Group meets Thursday nights, too. Dinner for all!

Why have a Communicants Class?
While baptized children of believers are considered part of the visible church, they are non-communing members (do not participate in the Lord's Supper) until they personally own and profess faith in Jesus. To assist parents in leading their children through this ownership of faith, we want to provide training for the children of communing member so that they clearly understand the Gospel, their relationship to God, and what God is doing in this world through His Church.
For this reason, we strongly encourage a parent to attend the class with their child. This fourteen week class meets during the Sunday School hour from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
Each summer Peace Community Church VBS invites kids to go deep into God's Word as they participate in group study, games, music, and memorization that anchors the Word of God deeply in their hearts. Our 2019 focus was on the book of Jonah and his journey to repentance.
Check in with us next summer as we "Go the Distance with Olympion" and challenge children through the book of Joshua to run the race of faith! 2020 Registration for Preschool - Sixth Grade will open in May of 2020.
