Discipling children to know, love, and serve the lord

"Every member of the covenant community ought to feel, every hour of the day, that next to making his/her own calling and election sure, nurturing the next generation is the end for which he/she is kept alive by God. This is our task on earth! Nothing is more important.  What a church's covenant children become is what the covenant community will become."  Louis Berkof

We believe children are a blessing from the Lord and that parenting is a joyful and messy calling. We believe the family is the first place of training up the next generation.  We desire to come alongside the family to love, train, and encourage all of our covenant kids that they might call on the Lord for salvation and grow in their knowledge of Him.

Children in Worship

Children are invited to remain with their families during Sunday worship. To help them engage in the service, we offer a variety of age-appropriate activities and tools. These include Children's ESV pew Bibles, children's worksheets focusing on the sermon, paper, pencils, and crayons for drawing what they hear in the sermon. We have found these activities encourage them to listen and be engaged in the message.

Parents may also choose to take advantage of our nursery. The nursery is available during service for children up to four years old. In addition to a time of play, we worship as well with an age-appropriate Bible story time.

Sunday School

Sunday School exists to instruct our children in ways that would encourage them to know and love the Word of God, understand how it applies to their lives, and provide them with a solid Christian worldview.

This is done in the context of strong relationships between students and teachers and among the students themselves, that they would all have the common goal of glorifying God in worship, mission, and discipleship. As they each are growing in their own relationship with the Lord, each of our volunteers is committed to aiding our children to live out lives that are wholly devoted to Christ.

Our Sunday School ministry serves ages three through 12th grade during the Sunday School hour (11:00 AM - 12:00 PM) assisting parents to train up the next generation to put their hope and trust in our glorious God. Many of our high school students attend adult Sunday School classes.

BOLT Club

BOLT Club is a ministry of Pioneer Clubs, and is the Children's Ministry's midweek activity during the school year for kindergarten-fifth grade.

BOLT stands for:

Bible Centered - God has given us His Word in order to equip us to learn to live like Jesus. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Outreach Focused - We are called to reach out into our community and share Jesus with everyone. (Matthew 28:19-20)

Life Skills Learned - We need to develop life skills as created beings, in order to do good, bless our community, build relationships, and share the gospel. (Ephesians 2:10)

Transformation Experienced - When we trust in Jesus, He transforms (or changes) us to be more like Him. (Romans12:2)

Our time includes large group time, game time, craft time, and small groups.

This night is a fun opportunity that we hope your children can join us! BOLT Club meets 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM at Peace. Have them bring a friend!

Summer Bible Study

As the children go through Jesus Fixed It!, they will enjoy teaching and activities about the miracles of Jesus as recorded in the book of John to understand that Jesus came to “fix it”. Jesus came to fix our damaged relationship with God so that we can be with God forever in heaven. Consider signing up your child or grandchild. The cost is $5 per child, $10 max per family.

We will meet on Wednesdays, starting June 12 in Room 1019:30 - 11:00am.

There will also be a Women's study offered at the the same time - Entrusted to be Invested is a video series study on 1 Timothy. For more info, email Susan Contreras at Susan@peaceinfrankfort.org

Register here for either or both studies. Or contact Lindsay Weber: lindsay@peaceinfrankfort .org

VBS 2024!

We had a wonderful week at VBS filled with learning about God and praising Him. We had a great time with the songs, skits, crafts, science, games, and fun snacks. Through the week we had over 50 volunteers use their gifts and talents for God and almost 90 kids attend. Thank you to everyone who was a part of it!

Here is a video with some of the highlights from the week. Enjoy!

Can't wait to see you all next year!
