Peace K.I.D.S.
Our Children's Ministry is a purpose-driven ministry aligned with the vision of Peace Community Church. Shaped by the five purposes given to us through the Great Commandment and Great Commission (worship, service, fellowship, discipleship and evangelism), Peace K.I.D.S. has four dimensions of growing kids spiritually.

Growing Kids Spiritually
Knowing Jesus - Based on the purpose of worship and targeted community kids so that they may come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Increasing Love for God - Based on the purposes of fellowship and discipleship and targeted to our congregation kids so they may grow in God's Word.
Doing as Jesus Would - Based on the purpose of service with the intent of growing our congregation kids into Christ-like servants.
Sharing Jesus with Others - Based on the purpose of evangelism with the intent of equipping our congregation kids to share the Gospel.
"Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." Proverbs 22:6This is an exciting time to be a part of "training up our children." Peace K.I.D.S. strongly believes in partnering with parents in the spiritual training of their children.
Opportunities exist within this ministry for persons with varying spiritual gifts including: administration, creative communications, discernment, encouragement, helps, intercession, leadership, shepherding and teaching
Peace K.I.D.S. Core Values
P - We believe in PRAYING fervently for the needs of our ministry and the children we serve. For it is by no other path, than complete reliance on the Holy Spirit, that we will glorify God in all we do.
A - We believe in modeling an AUTHENTIC relationship
C - We believe in delivering Biblical truth through CULTURALLY-RELEVANT, CREATIVE and CHILD-TARGETED approaches. We believe that anointed teaching and shepherding can be a transforming power in the lives of children.
E - We believe the ministry and its volunteers are ENRICHED when people serve in their area of giftedness.
K - We believe that children should come to KNOW and WORSHIP JESUS as their personal Savior and Lord.
I - We believe that purposeful fellowship and discipleship will grow cihldren's relationships with God and INCREASE their love for Him and His word.
D - We believe that children should learn to serve others by DOING as Jesus would do.
S - We believe that children have the capacity to evangelize and that we need to equip them and provide them opportunities to SHARE the Gospel with others.
Children's Worship
Children in grades K-5 worship with their family at the beginning of the service at 9:30 am and then proceed to their respective classes.
Little Treasures
Meets in Room 115. Designed especially for 3 year olds (who are potty trained). This program introduces the person and character of Jesus to these young children. Age appropriate play and verbal interaction make this a time of fun and encouragement as the child learns just how special he or she is to the Lord.
Fours & Fives in Faith
Meets in Room 101 (across from elevator). Targeted to 4 and 5 year old preschoolers, this program teaches young ones about God's love for them in kid-sized ways. Music, Bible stories and interactive play and activities help these young ones to grow in their faith.
Sonshine Station (Kindergarten-2nd grade)
Kindergarten meet in at Room 116, across from the Family Life Center.
1st and 2nd grade meets in the Library.
This is for children Kindergarten through 2nd grade, (by September 1)
This ministry is designed to introduce them to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and nurture them in that relationship. We use drama, music, large group teaching and small group shepherding to encourage and instruct children at different levels.
5th grade meets in Room 201. This is a discipleship program designed to ensure that our 4th and 5th graders understand the essentials of the Christian faith. By the end of the year, a child should know: God is great and deserves their love, respect, and worship?God gives eternal life to everyone who trusts in Jesus Christ. The Bible is God's inspired Book and His Word is Truth?That spending time alone with God is vital to their spiritual lives. The Church is God's people set apart to serve Him in the world
This year we will be using the FaithWeaver Bible Curriculum throughout all the age levels. FaithWeaver lessons encourage children to focus on the one most important thing in life: a growing relationship with Jesus. Whether they are studying Bible lessons from the Old Testament or the New Testament, learners will be challenged to grow closer to Jesus every week. Students are also held accountable for the way they have lived out their faith during the past week.
With FaithWeaver Bible Curriculum, students of all ages will:
· experience God’s story in fresh, fun, meaningful ways;
· understand God’s Word by doing surprising, fun stuff;
· discover the adventure of applying God’s truth to everyday life;
· build a forever friendship with Jesus – the best friend they could ever have!
By using all the FaithWeaver Bible Curriculum age levels, we can provide an opportunity for families to study the same Bible passage every week. This also correlates with our new Family Ministry program, B.A.S.I.C., which is held on Wednesday evening from 6:30-8:00 pm
